If someone gave me a few thousand dollars and said spend it however you like….forget the jewelry, clothes and shoes….I would head straight to Homegoods, my favorite consignment shop, or a home improvement store and spend every penny on home decor.

I purchased my first home three years ago, a duplex.  Being a new homeowner/landlord on a budget was extremely overwhelming. I had to find creative ways to make this house my home.  I also had to learn the proper names and uses of tools…  Eeek!!!  I’m still working on that part.

Now when I walk into a home decor store and find a piece I love, I think, “Pfft, I can totally make that”!  Now, don’t get me wrong, on more than one occasion one of my “visions” ended up on the curb with the weekly trash.  But nothing beats that feeling I get when I finally finish a project, sit back and think, WOW  I just made that.

So if you are looking for me, I can usually be found at home working on yet another project.  Not everyone may get it, but this is what I love to do.  Some people like to golf, hike or read.  I love to create!  Nothing beats kicking back at home with a can of paint, a glass of wine and a vision.
